Coverage on France 3 promises to build throughout the weekend. This Saturday, journalist Isabelle Rettig will be presenting a special live programme. On set, François Gabart, holder of the solo round the world record (42 days and 16 hours in 2017) and Guillaume Rottée, Race Director of the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest will take time to present the challenges of the race and the particularities of each of the competitors.
The following day, it's time for the start of the race with an exceptional programme. For 60 minutes from 12:55 onwards, the production teams from France Télévisions, OC Sport and NEFSEA Production will be making sure you don't miss a thing of this unique moment. From the following boats, the helicopter and even the ULTIMs, breathtaking footage will capture the scale of this incredible challenge. Isabelle Rettig will be joined on set by Loïck Peyron and Franck Cammas to comment on the footage and put it into perspective. This live feed will also be available via the race website and the official social networks.
The local channels, Tébéo and TébéSud, will also be broadcasting live on Sunday. From 8.55am to 10.45am, Laurent Vilboux will be hosting a programme with navigator Éric Loizeau and journalist Philippe Eliès. Between 12:55 and 14:00, he will be back on the air with Karine Fauconnier and Philippe Eliès to report on the start.
RADIO. Radio France mobilised so you don't miss a thing
Radio France will be providing extensive coverage of the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest. As partners of the race, they have a dedicated studio in the village. On France Bleu Breizh Izel, a live broadcast was available throughout the week (from 4pm to 7pm) and the morning show was broadcast there on Friday morning. On Sunday, as the high point of these ten days in the village, the start will of course be broadcast live.
On France Info, listeners have also been able to find out more about the race and what's at stake with a series of reports broadcast since 2 January. This Saturday, a special day will be broadcast live from the Radio France studio in the village. The presenter of the 5.00-8.00 p.m. slot, Catherine Pottier, will welcome all the skippers to get their reactions. The following day, another special day from 9.30am, with live coverage on the pontoons and at sea. Jacques Caraës will be a consultant from a launch located near the start, while journalist Jérôme Val will comment on the 'top start' from a helicopter.

The official ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest accounts, which have been keeping you up to date with all the news from the village since it opened on 29 December, will of course be essential channels to ensure you don't miss a thing throughout the day. The latest news, the skippers' reactions, the most striking images: you'll find everything you need to know on the Facebook and Instagram accounts. A live video will be available from 10 a.m. to follow the skippers' farewells from the pontoons and then the parade. It will be available free of charge on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. You will also find links to the live feed of the start broadcast by France Télévisions. At the same time, a live broadcast in English with journalist Andi Robertson and skipper Sam Goodchild will also be available.
