JUST A MONTH AWAY FROM A MAJOR EVENT!

The most important event of the festive season won't be the one you think of! For the skippers of the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest, splurging on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve is out of the question. More than ever, the countdown has begun to the start of a long-awaited event. On 7 January, the bows will be pointing out to sea for this unprecedented circumnavigation of the globe.
In Brest, preparations are in full swing
Since their return from the West Indies and their participation in the Transat Jacques Vabre, the teams have been fine-tuning the final technical details. Everyone is busy repairing, sanding and preparing the ULTIMs so that everything is ready for the ARKEA ULTIM CHALLENGE - Brest. In Brest too, preparations are in full swing. Work has begun on setting up the 11,000 m2 village on the Quai Malbert, which will be the nerve centre of the race right up to the start.
As the days go by and the start gets closer, it's also an opportunity to take stock of the next major dates for the event. The Brest press conference will be held on Wednesday 13 December at 2pm to unveil the programme and the highlights of the festivities. The village will officially open on Friday 29 December, and there will be a host of events leading up to the start on Sunday 7 January. It's an opportunity to share moments of conviviality and celebrate these pioneers of the open sea, before cheering them on at the end of the pontoons and living this exceptional adventure alongside them.
